Sheraton Huzhou Hot Spring Resort, China
Nicknamed the ‘doughnut hotel’, the Sheraton Huzhou Hot Spring Resort is located on the Taihu Lake between Nanjing and Shanghai. The horseshoe magnet-shaped hotel was conceived by architect Ma Tansong. The resort is 27 floors above water, and two below (to create a complete oval) and features luxury trimmings, including a lobby paved with white jade from Afghanistan and Tiger’s Eye stone from Brazil. This resort offers 319 spacious guest rooms, including 83 suites and 38 villas, all with private balconies.
