One of the seven astronomic hotels in the world and the only such hotel in the southern hemisphere, Elqui Domos is located in the middle of the Elqui Valley, Chile. The hotel provides observation of the sky, with special installations and trips to the most important astronomic centre in the country. There are six rooms with capacity for maximum three people, built in a geodesic form as domes, perfect for the observation of the stars and planets. Each dome has a terrace. Additionally, the hotel organises trips on bike or horseback at night, and classes are given on how to use a telescope. Astronomic guides, car and bike rental services are also available.
