Trip 360 holds Adventure Film Festival in Bengaluru
What happens when all the adventure enthusiasts from the city come under one roof? The answer can simply be – unimaginable fun. Bengaluru witnessed a thrilling amalgamation of two independent film events, the Banff’s International Adventure Film Festival and IMF Mountain Film Festival organised by Trip 360. The Adventure Film Festival held in Bengaluru treated more than 300 adventure lovers to an incredible line of film screenings and events. Several world-renowned adventure films and those made by Indian filmmakers were screened during the two-day festival.
Trip 360 also announced an exclusive Ice Climbing Course for the attendees at the festival. The special course is a five-day beginners course on how to climb frozen waterfalls and will be taking place in Manali, Himachal Pradesh in batches from December to January. The first day of the festival witnessed screenings of successful films including Surf the Line (2016, France), Ascend (2017, USA), Loved by All: The Story of Apa Sherpa (2017, Canada) and Dreamwalkers: The Faroes Project (2017, Australia). The second day was all about the Indian adventure films under IMF Mountain Festival that screened The Great Indian Tamasha, Mountain Mothers, An Uncertain Winter and Munsiari Mountain Biking.
Besides the medley of several films, the participants made most of Abhijeet’s three-hour workshop on mountain climbing who is a yogi, ice climber, photographer and a mountain climber. The workshop was specially curated for aspirational climbers, enthusiasts and intermediate level mountaineers alike with his years of experience as a climbing athlete. Intermixing practical strength and core training along with equipment study, preparation and theory were some significant aspects covered in the workshop.
Day-2 also saw an exciting Instagram photo contest rolled out by Trip 360. The winners of the contest were felicitated and presented a free trek with Trip 360.
The festival was interspersed with engaging talks by experts as well as filmmakers. Neil Dsouza, Filmmaker, Abhijeet Singh and Sajid Chougle, Trip 360 experts and athletes, among others, were thrilled to be on stage and answer resolve queries related to living an adventurous lifestyle.
