Speaking on the launch, Gupta said, “We are extremely delighted to launch our first retail store in Coimbatore and third in Tamil Nadu. Increasing footprint in Southern market as well as tier-II cities is paramount to us to ensure penetration in deeper pockets of India – vital to our strategic intent of pan-India expansion. Coimbatore promises high- potential as the economy is strong; and the market is both affluent and untapped. With increasing interest from smaller cities led by access to high-speed internet and growing millennial population, travel is one of the biggest spends. With our distinct and innovative consumer centric products and services witnessing a strong uptake, our leisure travel business is already seeing an impressive double-digit growth over the previous financial year.”
Travel Tours current footprint extends to a total of 29 stores across Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Jalandhar, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kochi and via a combination of owned branches and newly opened franchise outlets.
