Thomas Cook (India), the Indian integrated travel and travel related financial services company, has identified the state of Maharashtra as a significant growth market for its Foreign Exchange business and to leverage this opportunity, has opened a branch at Hinjewadi, Pune – inaugurated by Mahesh Iyer, chief executive officer & Deepesh Varma, head of Sales and Relationship Management-Foreign Exchange, Thomas Cook India.
Hinjewadi, as one of India’s largest Special Economic Zones (SEZ), is home to India’s corporate houses and MNCs, including top IT majors and hence offers significant opportunity for Thomas Cook’s Foreign Exchange business. This is reiterated via Thomas Cook India’s internal research that reveals the strong and growing potential of Hinjewadi-Pune, being the gateway/hub for business travellers- young professionals, corporates and SMEs. Via its new outlet, the company aims at harnessing this significant yet under leveraged opportunity for its Foreign Exchange business. The new branch at Hinjewadi augments Thomas Cook India’s Foreign Exchange network in Pune to six; and 30 for the state of Maharashtra.
