Thomas Cook India, at a meeting of its board of directors, has announced changes to its board of directors. The developments are as follows:
Sunil Mathur has been appointed as additional non–executive director (independent) w.e.f. December 23, 2015. Nilesh Vikamsey is additional non–executive director (independent) w.e.f. December 23, 2015. Madhavan Menon has been appointed as chairman and re-designated as chairman and managing director w.e.f. January 1, 2016.
Commenting on the announcements, Prem Watsa, chairman and CEO, Fairfax Financial Holdings, said, “I am delighted to welcome our new additional non-executive independent directors – Sunil Mathur and Nilesh Vikamsey; their expertise and experience will certainly add valuable guidance and support to the Thomas Cook India board.”
