The Ultimate Travelling Camp (TUTC) will be operational from June 15 to September 30, 2015 at Chamba Camp in Thiksey, Ladakh. A mobile luxury camp has also been set up in Nubra Valley as part of this luxury excursion. Guests have the option to either divide their stay between Nubra Valley and Ladakh or to have the entire stay exclusively at Nubra Valley. The expedition gets more exciting and intimate this year with an interesting itinerary that gives a fascinating insight into Ladakhi culture.
Itineraries for different durations are available and there are various categories of lodging, each designed carefully to suit diverse requirements of travellers. Accommodation in a white tent or sand tent for 3 nights / 4 days starts from INR 54,499 per person whereas presidential tent starts from INR 60,999 per person. For a stay of 4 nights / 5 days, accommodation in a white tent or sand tent starts from INR 55,499, per person and presidential tent starts from INR 61,499. For a stay of 5 nights / 6 Days, accommodation in a white tent or sand tent starts from INR 56,499 whereas accommodation in a presidential tent starts from INR 62,999 per person. Travellers can also opt for the Signature Programme for 5 Nights / 6 Days, from INR 84,499 for single occupancy and INR 88,999 for double occupancy, for white tent as well as sand tent.
With TUTC, guests can experience the heart of Ladakhi culture with a traditional Ladakhi welcome upon arrival, a tour to the city of Leh with a high tea in a traditional Ladakhi home, a visit to the fabled monasteries of Thiksey and Hemis, a walk in the Thiksey Village or a cycling tour in the vicinity of Thiksey Monastery, a culinary class with in-house and blessed prayer flags by the Rimpoche (Chief Abbot of the Thiksey Monastery). In house activities include archery, croquet, and star gazing. There is unlimited Wi-Fi at the Reception Tent, 24/7 security and paramedic on site, 24/7 electricity, running hot and cold water, library, and service of a private valet.
