Tamarind Global, India’s focused destination and event management company, has announced the launch of the Wedding Division at their Delhi office. After the exponential growth of Weddings and Events division of Tamarind Global, which is headquartered in Mumbai, through this strategic expansion the company now looks forward to tapping the wedding business in Delhi NCR.
Tamarind Global’s Delhi office already offers event management and MICE (Meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions) services. This helps the company to leverage its partnerships with all the leading hotel chains and the existing clientele. The company already has a foothold in the Delhi market with its DMC operation.
To that end, prior to the announcement, a small team of 10 people has already been set up in Delhi and they have successfully executed one wedding. This fully fledged team is geared to provide hospitality and logistics services as well as client servicing support for turnkey wedding and event solutions for Delhi and other North markets. The aim is to increase the team size to handle multiple weddings, and pitch for new weddings in the region.
Tamarind Global possesses an advantage of 35 year old rich heritage in the hospitality business which adds to their strength. Their specialised product team constantly updates the database of new destinations and hotels that have the infrastructure to host Indian weddings and events. There are many such processes dedicated to creating client delight with bespoke wedding planning services and destination expertise.
Kunal Rai, VP, Events and Weddings, will head the team in Delhi which will be lead by Karan Malhotra, head, Events and Weddings who brings with him more than 12 years of experience in the field across all aspects of entertainment, experiential marketing, celebrity management (Indian, as well as international), and media and communications.
