Singapore Tourism Board appoints TRAC Representations in South India
The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) has appointed TRAC Representations as their marketing representative for the South India market to strengthen trade relations and execute marketing initiatives in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana and Kerala. TRAC will be operating offices in Bengaluru and Chennai for STB.
Singapore ranks amongst the most aspired travel destinations for Indians. It is consistently one of the top visited destinations for families, honeymooners, cruisers, business travellers and incentive groups from India. Visitor arrivals from India to Singapore reached more than 520,000 in the first half of 2015 with a six per cent year-on-year growth. South India is an important source market with direct flights from eight different cities to Singapore, contributing nearly 30 per cent of Indian visitor arrivals in 2014.
Shreekala Sukumaran and Meenakshi Gupta have been appointed as marketing representative for Chennai and Bengaluru market. The key objective of the marketing representative is to enhance the positioning of Singapore as a favoured travel destination for leisure and business amongst the travellers from the South India market.
