Maharajas’ Express to operate special trip for the New Year
Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) will operate its premier luxury train Maharajas’ Express’ “Gems of India” trip for the New Year. The special trip of Delhi, Agra, Ranthambore and Jaipur has been scheduled from December 30, 2015 and will take the travellers on a three-night/four-day tour of the destinations.
The Maharajas’ Express website, www.the-maharajas.com, has been enabled to accept online payments for direct booking of tickets.
This is the first time that IRCTC’s signature luxury train will be celebrating New Year in a royal style.The train, a signature enterprise of IRCTC, began its inaugural run in March 2010. Since then, it has been voted the world’s leading luxury train for four years in a row.
The fare, ranging between US$ 3,850 and US$ 23,700 depending on the train’s five different circuits, includes meals, wines and spirits, sightseeing and guide services. Cabins of the train have been named after precious gems such as Firoza, Moti, Manik, Panna and Hakik.
