Let’s travel together.

Little India Travel Mart focuses on new regions of Indonesia

Garuda Indonesia, in association with Diorama Travel Management, an Indonesian destination management company (DMC), organised a workshop at Golden Tulip Jineng Resort in Bali. The Little India Travel Mart was attended by 20 travel agents from India, including Cox & Kings, MakeMyTrip, Thomas Cook, SOTC, Ezeego1, Mercury Travels, Veena World, Akbar Travels, etc.

Headquartered in Bali and having a pan-Indonesian presence, Diorama is looking to make inroads into the India market.

Speaking at the workshop, Trisno, managing director, Diorama said, “We are interested in the India market, especially since Garuda Indonesia has just launched its direct flight to Jakarta via Bangkok.”

He gave a presentation on the new itineraries that Indian tour operators can incorporate in their packages like Lake Toba in Medan in North Sumatra (an enormous crater lake the size of Singapore); Bandung, the Indonesian Paris Van Java – a shopping paradise; Surabaya and Malang in East Java and the Gili islands for underwater experiences.

At the workshop, around 28 Indonesian suppliers, covering different Indonesian regions like Kuta, Seminyak and Nusa Dua, interacted with the Indian travel agents.
