Jet and American Express launches new corporate card
Jet Airways and American Express has announced the launch of the Jet Airways American Express Corporate Card. The co-branded card will help small and mid-sized companies and their executives save substantially on business travel and entertainment expenses. In an environment where corporate India is poised for economic expansion and business travel is likely to increase, the card could be a significant driver of savings, which are earned in the form of JPMiles and corporate rebates on Taj Group of Hotels.
Sanjay Rishi, president, South Asia, American Express said, “Many companies may not realise it, but business travel and entertainment are among the top controllable expenses in an organisation. This new product in partnership with Jet Airways delivers savings on this key expense line. Since this segment doesn’t enjoy bulk deal privileges on airline and hotel spending, the Jet Airways American Express Corporate Card saves both time and money, allowing companies more time to focus on their core business. This is the only corporate card programme in India that offers both company and individual Card members rewards in the form of JPMiles, combined with the convenience of streamlining the way companies manage their business expenses.”
Cramer Ball, chief executive officer, Jet Airways said, “Small and medium enterprises as a segment play an important role in the growth of any economy with air travel being a key component in facilitating trade and commerce across geographies. Jet Airways, along with its loyalty and rewards programme JetPrivilege, has embarked upon a journey to specifically address the business needs of the small and medium enterprises segment by introducing a co-branded corporate card in association with American Express under the Business Rewards plus programme powered by JetPrivilege.”
The Jet Airways American Express Corporate Card is the first-of-its-kind in India with benefits to both companies and their employees. Companies earn a share of the JPMiles accrued by their employees on T&E expenses, and incremental JPMiles on reaching various spend thresholds on booking with Jet Airways. Employees earn a welcome bonus of 10,000 JPMiles, three JPMiles for every INR100 spent on T&E and six JPMiles for every INR100 spent on jetairways.com for air travel bookings. They also earn five per cent discount on revenue tickets booked on www.jetairways.globallinker.com and bonus JPMiles on spends with select partners
Manish Dureja, managing director, JetPrivilege said, “At JetPrivilege, we believe that the small and medium enterprises are the backbone of the Indian economy fueling the next wave of growth. Considering the renewed focus of the business potential of this segment in India, JetPrivilege is proud to introduce Business Rewards plus, a unique initiative that aims at rewarding companies owners with JPMiles for all their business travel and entertainment expenses.”
