Guiddoo launches mobile app for South East Asia
uiddoo, one of the world’s leading ‘Mobile Tour Guiding App’, with 150,000+ app downloads, has announced the launch of its travel app for South East Asia. The Guiddoo app for South East Asia offers information to the most preferred destinations in Singapore, Hong Kong, Bangkok and Pattaya. Six new SE Asia destinations will be announced at the Mekong Tourism Forum in Vietnam on June 16, 2015.
The app offers information across all major content requirements a traveller may have, both prior and during the trip. These include a complete guide– audio and visual to all major tourist spots in these cities. It even allows a user to buy tickets and book tours to all the major tourist attractions directly from the app, with its in-built Meta Search Engine that provides the best deals from Viator, Getyourguide and BeMyGuest. Further it makes suggestions of the best places to visit as well as handpicks the best restaurants where users can enjoy the local cuisine. The app also eases trip planning by providing information such as the weather forecast, currency exchange and local transport info.
Nidhi Varma, founder, Guiddoo said, “Southeast Asia presents enormous potential for the travel industry especially for the Indian traveller, given the high number of inbound tourists the region hosts year on year. Given this background, timely and trusted advice on where to go, need-to-know travel information and in-city details with information on tourist spots like monuments, museums, parks, ticketing etc., make it easier for a traveler to not only plan the trip but maximize his time during the trip by having all information at his fingertips.”
The Guiddoo app can be used offline and once downloaded by the user does not need an internet connection to access, thereby saving a user high roaming costs.
