Government of Canada announces three new diplomatic appointments to India
Canadian Consulates in Mumbai, Chandigarh and Bengaluru are now headed by three women. Annie Dubé, Mia Yen, and Nicole Girard have assumed their offices as Consul General for Canada to India, in the cities of Mumbai, Chandigarh and Bengaluru respectively. Dubé has replaced Jordan Reeves, Yen succeeds Christopher Gibbins and Girard has taken over from Jennifer Daubeny this month.
Welcoming the three Consuls General, High Commissioner for Canada to India, Nadir Patel, said, “These three diplomatic appointments highlight the importance of ensuring that women are in key roles and they align with Canada’s commitment towards equal opportunity for all. I look forward to working with my three talented colleagues to continue deepening and strengthening our vibrant bilateral relationship.”
