Every three years the city of Ghent lights up with works by international light artists for the Ghent Light Festival. This year the festival will take place from January 31 to February 4. The city’s nights become the backdrop for a spectacle, installations, performances and events, all based on light. The light festival puts the Ghent lighting plan in the spotlight. The fourth edition will get an extra day and a newly adapted route. As a result, not only the Historical Centre and the Arts Quarter get bathed in light, but also a piece of Ghent’s industrial history.
