Seychelles
Seychelles comprises an archipelago of 115 islands in the Indian Ocean off East Africa. Of these 115 islands, 41 constitute the oldest mid-oceanic granite islands on earth, whereas 74 form the low-lying coral atolls and reef islands of the Outer Islands of Seychelles. The granitic Inner Islands form the cultural hub of Seychelles and contain the majority of Seychelles’ tourism facilities. Popular tourism attractions in Seychelles include Adelaide Studio, Aride Island Nature Reserve, Barbara Jenson Studio, Bel Air Cemetery, Bicentennial Monument, Cathedral of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception, Cousin Island Special Reserve, Dauban Mausoleum and many more. Seychelles is also home to two UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Aldabra, the world’s largest raised coral atoll and Praslin’sVallée de Mai, once believed to be the original site of the Garden of Eden. The sixth edition of the Seychelles International Carnival of Victoria will be held between April 22-24, 2016.
