Mostar, Bosnia
Famously known for The Old Bridge, a historic structure built in 1566, Mostar is a city in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Mostar was the most heavily bombed city in the Bosnian War. In 1993, the Old Bridge was destroyed by tank shellings, however the bridge’s reconstruction completed in 2004. Having survived through ordeal of wars, a major part of the city has been rebuilt and continues to attract tourists by its beautiful architecture. A few other places to visit in Mostar include Old Bridge Museum, Muslibegovica House, Koski Mehmed Pasha Mosque and Biscevica House.
