Mayurbhanj, Odisha
Situated in northern Odisha, Mayurbhanj is a popular tourist destination, with more than 39 per cent of its area covered with forests and hills. Similipal National Park is one of the biggest tourist attractions in Mayurbhanj. Similipal is home to thick forests and wildlife including its tiger projects. Mayurbhanj is also known for its cultural heritage and handicrafts. Makar Parva and Karama Parva are the two well known festivals of Mayurbhanj which are celebrated with pomp.The Kichakeswari temple and the sacred Bhimkund pool hold religious significance among visitors.
