Located at around 250 km south of Jaipur, Kota is situated on the banks of Chambal River. This city is the third most populous city of Rajasthan and also a famous tourist destination. As per historians, the city was founded in the 12th century and is a part of the Malwa Plateau. Some of the most popular attractions here are Maharao Madho Singh Museum, Jag Mandir, Chabal Garden, Mandore Garden and Kota Barrage. Kota is now well known for its famous dams and Kota Doria saris, woven in the nearby Kaithoon village.
