The peaceful village of Kasol is nestled in the Parvati Valley which starts at the confluence of River Beas and River Parvati. Away from the chaotic mess of the urban cities, Kasol offers something for everyone – from nature lovers to trekkers to backpackers. Following the Parvati river, you will come across Chalal, a town that will immerse you in its Indian rich flavours and colours. The fusion of the Indian with Israeli spices chai is one to indulge in and during April and May this entire place turns into a festive playground with Djs who come from all over the world. Kheerganga offers panoramic views and is ideal for treks that can last upto 7 hours just one way. The high point of the village is the Manikaran Sahib which is a huge Gurudwara that has a hot spring which is believed to cleanse you from your sins after you take a dip. After paying their respects, pilgrims feast themselves on ‘Langar’, the rice which is cooked in the hot water taken from the spring.
