A popular destination in the Konkan belt of Maharashtra, Harihareshwar is known for its beaches and temples. Towards the north of the town is the temple of Lord Harihareshwar, which is a famous pilgrim site. Adventure lovers can take a small boat to the north side of the Shriwardhan- Harihareshwar bay and explore the area where the Peshwas or prime ministers of the Maratha kingdom originally resided. The Peshwa Smarak is of interest to most tourists who visit Shriwardhan. The destination also boasts of its excellent sea-food.
