Primary motivation to pursue your professional goals in the travel industry?

I fell in love with adventure at a very young age. Working with my parents Ajeet Bajaj and Shirley Thomas Bajaj in the adventure tourism business is my dream job.

An observation you have made about the industry, both challenges or an opportunity?

I think this is an exciting time to be a part of the travel and tourism industry because both Indians and foreigners are realising how much we have to offer.

Vision for your business?

I believe adventure and the outdoors is essential in today’s day and age. It provides time to disconnect with technology and reconnect with ourselves. I would like Snow Leopard Adventures to be the best way for people to do this.

Technology has made a significant difference with regards to marketing, the actual booking process and communication while on trips. However when it comes to the actual adventure trip itself, I feel technology can take away from the experience – people spend so much time on their phones that at times the actual experience is missed out completely.

Its an exciting time to be part of this industry. People and realising the importance of moving out of their comfort zones and how spending on experiences can be rather fulfilling. with research coming up that links negative health consequences to being distant from nature (psychoterratica) the adventure and the outdoors will be one of the most popular avenues for people to reconnect with nature.
