Dreamtime kicks off in Adelaide
Dreamtime 2015, Tourism Australia’s signature incentive product showcase, has commenced at the Adelaide Convention Centre, placing the international spotlight on Australia’s business events offering.
More than 100 international buyers and media from around the world were warmly welcomed to Dreamtime 2015 with the Kaurna people of the Adelaide Plains of South Australia providing the official Welcome to Country, followed by opening remarks from Tourism Australia and global airline partner, Virgin Australia.
Tourism Australia’s deputy CEO, Frances-Anne Keeler said it was the first time Dreamtime had been held in South Australia.
“We are very excited to be hosting Dreamtime in Adelaide for the first time to highlight Australia’s strengths as a business events destination,” Keeler said, addding, “The unprecedented level of business events infrastructure the city is undergoing, coupled with the strong food and wine heritage of South Australia means our hosted buyers and media will have a truly unique experience.”
Following the official opening of Dreamtime 2015, the Australian business events industry hosted meetings with buyers, providing an opportunity to strengthen relationships, discuss upcoming business opportunities with decision makers, and meet with new potential clients.
