Travelport has signed a new agreement with e-Travel Technologies, provider of duty of care solutions. The e-Travel Technologies product portfolio addresses liability concerns of travel professionals and travellers, and satisfies corporations’ duty of care responsibilities. It includes: travel alerts, travel advisories, and travel tracker databases and is available globally to Travelport- connected travel agents.
Scott Hyden, managing director, sales, Americas, Travelport, said, “We are pleased to add e-Travel Technologies and their travel risk management services to our roster of duty of care solutions for the corporate travel market. e-Travel Technologies solutions are integrated to Travelport point-of-sale platforms via The Travelport developer network, a programme specifically designed for independent software developers seeking to integrate their solutions with Travelport.”
“Travelport’s open platform and the Travelport developer network enable flexible access to a wide range of content and services not typically available in this distribution channel. Offering the widest range of travel content – whether it’s duty of care solutions such as e-Travel’s portfolio, independent hotels or low-cost carriers that don’t play in the GDS channel – is key to serving the corporate market,” added Hyden.
Don Churchill, president, e-Travel Technologies, said, “With the rapidly increasing demand for duty of care services, we are confident that our combined products will make a significant contribution to Travelport‘s value proposition in the corporate travel marketplace.”
