Soraya Homchuen has been appointed as director of Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) in Mumbai. Her jurisdiction will cover western and southern India where her efforts will complement those in TAT New Delhi as well as Sri Lanka and the Maldives. Her most recent post was as a marketing officer, ASEAN, South Asia and South Pacific department, TAT. Assignments preceding these saw her at helm of TAT’s R&D activities as chief of academic section at TAT’s market research division.
