The Travel Agents Federation of India (TAFI) has announced the forthcoming TAFI convention in Durban, South Africa from February 24-27, 2013. The convention venue will be the International Convention Centre Durban.
The theme for this convention is ‘Navigating the Future’. This theme has been specially chosen considering the present challenges being faced by the travel trade industry. The business sessions at the convention will also focus on the bilateral exchanges between the two countries and educating the travel industry on future business and cultural exchange opportunities which will bring the two countries closer.
Durban, in the province of Kwazulu-Natal, has a sizeable Indian population. The host country South Africa and airline partner South African Airways have played a key role to bring the convention to Durban. The other partners are – Tsogo Sun Group for hotel stay, other international and domestic airline partners are – Emirates and Indigo.
