Skyscanner, a global travel search website has announced its foray into this year’s IPL season by signing up as the official travel partner of Delhi Daredevils during the 7th edition of IPL. As part of the association, Skyscanner will be launching a consumer activation campaign, offering fans a variety of offers and contests to give them a chance to win and get close with Delhi Daredevils.
Commenting on the sponsorship deal, Kavitha Gnanamurthy, senior marketing manager, Skyscanner India, said, “We are delighted to announce our partnership with the Delhi Daredevils as their official travel partners. She further adds, “The first leg of IPL is being played in UAE boosting travel between the two countries. There has been consistent growth in searches for flights to UAE from India since Feb 2014 and we, at Skyscanner, have noticed a 360 per cent increase in search volume for flights from India to UAE for March over Feb 2014”.

Skyscanner has announced a slew of contests which includes a video contest where cricket buffs stand a chance to travel to Australia, NZ, SA or England by simply sharing which country they would want to visit and why. In addition to this, there are several contests that will give fans an opportunity to meet their favourite stars in person and also the chance to win match tickets for Delhi Daredevils matches.
