TripAdvisor has announced the winners of its Travellers’ Choice awards for Amusement Parks and Water Parks around the globe. In total, 242 winners were identified, including the top 25 in the world and dedicated lists for Asia, Canada, China, Europe, India, South America, South Pacific, the UK and the US. Five amusement parks from India have featured in the list of Top 25 in Asia namely; Wonderla Amusement Park, Bangalore (7th); Ramoji Film City (10th); Wonderla Amusement Park, Kochi (13th); Science City (14th); Essel World (20th). Water Kingdom, Mumbai grabs the 4th spot in the list of Top 10 Water Parks in Asia.
According to Nikhil Ganju, country manager, TripAdvisor India, “The adrenalin rush and cool water splash that amusement and water parks offer is a sure shot way to beat the summer heat. The amusement and water parks in TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice list offer a wide variety of activities with world class infrastructure that appeal to people of all ages.”
Travellers’ Choice awards honours top travel spots worldwide based on the millions of reviews and opinions from TripAdvisor travellers. Award winners were determined using an algorithm that took into account the quantity and quality of reviews for amusement parks and water parks worldwide, gathered over a 12-month period.
