Rwandan youth enthrall audience on World Tourism Day in Mumbai

The Indian Merchants’ Chamber (IMC) hosted its fourth edition of World Tourism Day in Mumbai recently.
Shailesh Vaidya, IMC president, welcomed the guests who consisted of high commissioners, trade commissioners , consul generals, captains of Indian industry, travel and tourism professionals , as well as print and electronic media. The chief guest for the event, was, Ernest Rwamucyo, Rwandan high commissioner, India.
Rwamucyo shared the Rwanda growth story and extended an invitation to everyone to visit the country and experience the beauty of Rwanda , not just from a tourism perspective, but also to look at the vast opportunities that exist in developing trade and making investments in the country, which would yield good returns.
He also picked up the lucky draw for the first prize, which was a complimentary air ticket to Kigali hosted by Turkish Airlines. The partner airline also offered a second prize, which was a complimentary ticket to Istanbul.
The Rwanda Development Board hosted students from Bengaluru and Pune for this tourism extravaganza. Rwandan youth enthralled the audience with their cultural dances. There were also students from Botswana, dressed in their traditional costumes, who performed entertaining dances. Kathak dancers added the Indian flavour to the evening.
