The objective of the programme is to promote Swiss Pass and Switzerland along with Rail Europe in order to enable the travel trade to learn from the Program and sell the destination better. The programme covering Switzerland in its entirety will educate the travel agents on various product offers through various modules.”
Ritu Sharma, deputy director-India, Switzerland Tourism, said, “The main objective is to increase awareness of the Swiss Pass among the travel trade in India. We would like to make them aware of how easy it is to travel within Switzerland with a Swiss Pass and the efficiency of the Swiss Travel System. It is probably the only public transportation network where one ticket works on all modes of transport, including trains, buses, boats and trams within the cities. It also offers up to 50 per cent discount on most mountain excursions, free admission to over 450 museums all over Switzerland, and includes panoramic trains such as Glacier Express.”
