Qatar Airways to serve Cyprus

Qatar Airways is continuing its steady expansion plan for the coming year with the announcement of flights to Larnaca International Airport in Cyprus commencing April 29, 2014. The new route, which will fly four times a week to Larnaca, will be operated by an Airbus A320, configured in a two-class configuration with 12 seats in business class and 132 in economy class.
Larnaca is located on Cyprus’ southernmost coast and is the third largest city in the country. Larnaca International Airport, located on the edge of the city provides central access to all amenities.
Larnaca will be the airline’s first route to Cyprus – a popular holiday destination.
Attractions in Larnaca include the ancient city of Kition, Larnaca Fort, Hala Sultan Tekke (Grand Mosque), Church of Saint Lazarus, Europe Square and Larnaca Salt Lake.
In a statement from the airline it said that Larnaca is a destination that Qatar Airways is pleased to be providing regular scheduled service. We are continually striving to provide customers with more options of unique destinations to visit, and the Mediterranean city of Larnaca is a welcomed new addition to the airline’s route map.
