Princess Cruises has deployed The Sapphire Princess in Singapore. Starting this September, Singapore will witness the stay of one of the most extravagant ships from Princess Fleet, which will come with a variety of itineraries ranging from as short as three days to as long as 17 days offering an eclectic mix of ports in its first six months long deployment in Singapore and the region. During these voyages, travellers will be given several opportunities to explore exotic destinations.
Nishith Saxena, director, Cruise Professionals, the international sales agency for Princess Cruises in India, said, “We are very excited that one of the most feature rich ships is going to be in Singapore. Indian passengers who have been craving for a premium cruising experience closer home are going to get an opportunity to sail onboard this beautiful vessel. Sapphire Princess has been refurbished in 2012 and it would offer a cosmopolitan ambience to her cruise passengers with more dining options, new entertainment and numerous kids and family activities.”
Chang Chee Pey, executive director, South Asia, Middle East and Africa, Singapore Tourism Board, said, “India is one of our top source markets for cruise, and the addition of the Sapphire Princess will give Indians more compelling options to choose from when embarking on a journey to discover Southeast Asia’s diverse landscape. Add to that Singapore’s adrenaline-packed calendar of world-class events the likes of the Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Grand Prix and BNP Paribas WTA Finals as well as the colourful Diwali celebrations and attractive retail and dining options, and visitors can expect nothing short of an unforgettable holiday.”

The ship has multiple choices to cater to different tastes – five pools and hot tubs, movies under the stars, sanctuary – a retreat for adults, five main dining halls, seven casual dining eateries, nightclub, casino, duty-free shops, gymnasium and spa, sports deck, children and teen activity centers, library, internet café, art gallery and a golf putting course, among other features.
