The ministry of tourism, Government of India will be launching the comprehensive Sustainable Tourism Criteria for India (STCI) for Accommodation, Tour Operators and Beaches, Backwaters, Lakes & Rivers sectors on August 26, 2014 starting at Hotel Samrat, New Delhi. The launch will be followed by a sensitisation workshop for all stakeholders in tourism industry.
During the workshop the ministry proposes to have a panel discussion session on ‘Sustainable Criteria for Tourism – An Indian Perspective’. The minister of state for Tourism, Shripad Yesso Naik will inaugurate the event and launch the STCI.
