KTB launches online media campaign

Kenya Tourism Board (KTB) has launched an on-line media campaign on ‘WhyILoveKenya’ to boost tourism. With the campaign theme, #whyILoveKenya, KTB is rallying tourists, celebrities, corporate bodies, public and private sector and friends of tourism sector to tell the world about the uniqueness of the country and how tourism business activities are ongoing.
Kenya offers Visa-on-arrival (VOA) to Indians for a stay of three months for 50 dollars. And extension of stay is possible for additional three months. The hassle free visa process is an added advantage for travellers.
Muriithi Ndegwa, managing director, KTB, said, “I appeal to Kenya lovers to rally together and use the hash tag #whyILoveKenya to spread the word that Kenya is the country to visit and get the country tourism flourishing. Besides other strategies employed to reassure tourists of Kenya’s safety, the online media strategy will widen the scope.”
Ndegwa added, “The tourists time and again have demonstrated their love and confidence on Kenya and are continuing with their holidays in the country. The annual wildebeest migration in Maasai Mara Game Reserve which is dubbed the 8th new wonder of the world will trigger more bookings as a result of expected increase of tourists to the country coming to watch this awesome spectacle.”
