The board of directors of Jet Airways (India) has approved the appointment of Cramer Ball as the CEO of the company. Ball’s appointment is subject to receipt of all the requisite government/ regulatory approvals including his security clearance. He has almost two decades of senior level experience in the aviation industry and completed, earlier this year, a two year term as the chief executive officer of Air Seychelles, where he led a major restructuring programme that returned the airline to profitability in 2012 and 2013. Gaurang Shetty, director and manager, will continue to lead Jet Airways till the requisite approvals are obtained and Ball assumes charge.
