India has entered the list of top 10 inbound markets for Australia showing a 7.4 per cent growth over last year from 148, 200 arrivals in 2011 to 159, 000 in 2012. “India went past Germany (with 154, 800 arrivals in 2012) to enter our list of top ten markets for visitor arrivals. This is in line with our 2020 Vision Plan which sees a potential growth in economic value from 0.8 billion AUD in 2012 to anything between 1.9 and 2.3 billion AUD in 2020,” said Andrew McEvoy, managing director, Tourism Australia, on the eve of ATE 2013, which opens in Sydney on April 27.
