Ram Kohli, president of Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) passed away this morning.
Kohli was the chairman and managing director, Creative Travel and had the distinction of being elected as the international chairman of Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA). In its 53 years of history he was the only second Indian ever from the private sector to hold this position. He played an important role at the national and international levels in the functioning of the industry as a whole.
IATO had conferred him with “Hall of Fame Award” during its 18th IATO Annual Convention held in Kolkata in 2002.
