Goyal has been elected as the managing committee member in the category of service provider/consultancy firms on all-India basis by getting 81 per cent votes of the total votes casted and won with a margin of 62 per cent votes.
Goyal said, “Through the FIEO platform, we will strongly take up our long pending issue of service tax and to extend benefits to the tour operators that are being given to the physical exporters of goods based on their foreign exchange earning besides taking up various other issues.”
“FIEO will be the right platform for the tourism and travel professionals for interaction with various industry members to boost their business especially Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE). Members will have good business opportunities with global contacts especially those who are also members of FIEO. Tourism will thus get greater exposure and increase awareness. Often FIEO showcases India products overseas, thus India branding will strengthen our communication with global travel industry professionals,” added Goyal.
