GVK managed Chhaptrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA) Mumbai has been awarded the ‘Second Best Cargo Airport’ recently at the 40th Annual Convention of ACAAI in Jaipur. This annual convention was organised by Air Cargo Agents Association of India (ACAAI). GVK CSIA has been honoured with the prestigious Best Cargo Airport award for the second consecutive year.
The Best Cargo award acknowledges GVK MIAL’s integrated air cargo offering for effectively delivering value to customers. It is pertinent to note that GVK CSIA handled traffic of over 30.2 million passengers and more than 6.3 lakh tonnes of cargo during the last fiscal.
The theme of 40th Annual Convention of ACCAI was Air Cargo. It recognised the booming logistics arena, examined evolving market needs, changing trends of the logistics environment and the customer’s focus today on outsourcing, quality and innovation while reiterating the significant contribution of Air Cargo towards economic prosperity.
The Air Cargo Agents Association of India is the only National Association representing the Air Cargo Industry in India. This Association provides professional assistance and guidance not only to its members but also to various Central and State Government departments/ authorities connected with the industry.
