Greater comfort for Lufthansa business class passengers on Munich-Mumbai route

From September 2, 2012, Lufthansa passengers on the Munich–Mumbai route will travel in greater comfort and style. The route will be served with a refurbished A330-300 aircraft fitted with Lufthansa’s latest global product offering – the new Business Class seat. “We are delighted to introduce this latest on-board product to our customers from Mumbai. The horizontal sleeping surface is a crucial factor for our passengers. This request was the focus for all our other considerations. We have added many more details to this new flat seat and improved many features which together offer maximum comfort and a whole new experience on board,” said Axel Hilgers, director – South Asia , Lufthansa.

The new Lufthansa Business Class offers exceptional comfort in a sitting or horizontal position, with intuitive adjustments, additional storage space and an enhanced entertainment system. Another novelty is the innovative ‘V’-shaped seating arrangement: Two neighboring seats are angled towards one another along a central axis. This solution enabled Lufthansa to virtually double the distance between two neighboring seats at shoulder level, which gives Business Class passengers greater privacy.
