GoAir links Kolkata and Patna

GoAir has announced a direct daily flight service between two major capitals of Eastern India, Patna and Kolkata. The direct flight will be effective from February 4, 2014. With the introduction of this new service, Patna will further get connected to Ahmedabad and Guwahati via Kolkata.
Girish Nair, chief commercial officer, Go Airlines, said, “We are delighted on our move to connect Kolkata and Patna. This indicates the strong demand for travel in the region and is completely in line with our strategy to bring connectivity between the metros and non-metros. Our network design is forward looking and places emphasis on routes that support the growth at destinations, connected through these flights. Apart from a strong movement for leisure, the two capital cities attract travellers for local businesses and trade.”
Currently, Patna is directly connected to Mumbai, Delhi and Ranchi while Kolkata can be directly reached to and from Guwahati, Delhi, Ahmedabad and Bagdogra.
