GoAir launches special scheme for Indian voters

GoAir has announced a special scheme for the forthcoming elections. GoAir will offer its customers the freedom to select their seats for bookings made on the days when the respective city votes for India’s next leader. GoAir is the first domestic carrier to encourage people to exercise their right to vote. This means that usual charges of INR 500 for seats with extra leg room and INR 200 for window or aisle seats will be waived off for that specific city departure on the relevant date
The offer can be availed by contacting GoAir’s call centre only with a travel period up to May 12, 2014.
GoAir’s spokesperson, said, “We encourage the nation to vote and participate in the democracy. Our offer is a symbol of support towards motivating the citizens to exercise their right to vote as well as celebration of our democratic process. On the scheduled dates of elections, bookings for all departures from that particular city will attract no seat selection charges as we offer our customers the freedom to choose their seat.”
