Effective August 1, 2013 Cathay Pacific is introducing Premium Economy class progressively on flights to Tokyo. To promote travel to Tokyo in this cabin, the airline recently conducted a sales blitz for travel agents in Mumbai.
The blitz spread over three days – from July 23 to July 25. The team from Cathay Pacific included two staff dressed in traditional Japanese yukatas, who greeted the agents in Japanese which caught everyone’s attention in the agency offices. The sales blitz aimed to reach out to the travel agency frontline staff who sell and promote Cathay Pacific products.
Rakesh Raicar, regional sales and marketing manager-South Asia, Cathay Pacific said, “We are thrilled to offer travel in Premium Economy to both airports in Tokyo namely Narita and Haneda. Passengers travelling in Premium Economy can enjoy more comfort, space and personal attention throughout their journey ensuring a relaxed and fresh arrival in Tokyo.”
