The Karnataka High Court has passed an interim order to the effect that the Billing and Settlement Plan will not be altered to the weekly settlement plan but shall remain as it was on December 31, 2013. The Travel Agents Association of India ( TAAI) had filed a writ petition, no.38249 in 2013 challenging resolution 818g of IATA and also sought strict implementation of circular dated December 17, 2012 issued by the office of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
On January 6, 2014, the writ petition came up before the Karnataka High Court for preliminary hearing and after hearing the arguments of TAAI and Travel Agents Federation of India (TAFI) legal counsel and legal counsel for IATA.
