ATOAI provides relief material to the flood-affected in Uttarkashi

Adventure Tour Operators Association of India (ATOAI) has contributed to the relief material for 125 families in Uttarkashi. Uttarkashi has been hit severely by cloudburst followed by flash floods, claiming a large number of lives and many more devastated. The relief material distributed comprised of 125 utensils sets of five units each, 125 tirpals for shelter and 250 blankets (two per family). Tejbir Singh Anand, president, ATOAI said, “ATOAI has created a relief fund for helping the affected societies in such calamities.” The material was distributed with the help of ATOAI & Shikhar Eco Foundation. Capt Swadesh Kumar, MD, Shikhar Travels said. “We are concerned for the families who have been uprooted by the flash floods. The livelihood of the people of the Asi Ganga Valley depends upon the trekking route to Dodital, which is one of the popular routes.” The region is showing signs of recovery.
