AirAsia India to start Bengaluru-Chennai flight from June 19

AirAsia India’s flight from Bengaluru to Chennai is to be operational from June 19, 2014. Recently, the airline’s maiden flight took off from Bengaluru to Goa on June 12, 2014. This take-off marked the launch of the airline’s domestic operations with daily flights from Bengaluru to Goa and vice versa.
The inaugural flight, I5 1320, landed at Goa with a 100 per cent flight load. The first flight guests were greeted by AirAsia India CEO Mittu Chandilya on-board and were welcomed by the AirAsia India family upon arrival at Dabolim airport, Goa.
Commenting on the inaugural flight, Mittu Chandilya, CEO, AirAsia India, said, “We are very proud that after a year’s persistence we have finally commenced our operations. This is a big day for all of us at AirAsia India. We have looked at various sectors and Bengaluru, Goa and Chennai are the most lucrative options keeping in mind our low-cost business model and the traffic for the season.
