Butterfly Beach (or Butterfly Island as some know it) is a hidden secluded tiny semicircular bay on the northern end of Palolem beach, some 70 kms from Panaji and can be accessed by a boat ride. Its name comes from the fact that you can spot millions of butterflies flying over the hilltop and the spectacular beach is also well known for spotting dolphins, crabs and goldfish.
