Beverly Hills Convention Bureau launches new campaign
Beverly Hills Cpnference and Visitor’s Bureau recently launched a campign, ‘City of Wellth’ in order to attract more tourists in the luxury wellness segment. The India market has seen 50 per cent growth in overnight stays in 2016 over 2015, which shows the potential of the market, stated Julie Wagner, chief executive officer, Beverly Conventions Bureau. She informed, “We have witnessed that the Indians spend more at a destination as compared to our other Chineses visitors, one of our major source markets. Despite the actual numbers might not be very high, large percentage of Indians stay overnight at our hotels which contributes a lot. We feel that the expansion of the Middle East carriers have really helped the growth.”
Further explaining the special initiative which has been launched to add to the luxury offerings of the area, Wagner informed. “The shifting status quo of how success is now perceived in terms of health and wellbeing, rather than through material and financial wealth, means the desire for WELLTH is now a key factor in people’s choice of travel destination. Beverly Hills: City of WELLTH exemplifies the destination’s continual innovation to create inviting options for visitors, and places wellbeing at the forefront of its world-class accommodation, dining, and spa and offerings.”
Talking to Express TravelWorld about the new initiatives, Wagner added, “The hotel packages being offered will have special wellness programmes in order to indulge the guests to have new healthy experiences. The restaurants will also have special diet menus or items in order to promote the wellness campaign.”
Majority of the hotels have gone under renovation or some new ones have come up at the destination which adds to the initiative. Another major aspect that the destination is highlighting in their campaigns is the move to keep the retail stores open for extra hours on special days. Known as BOLD (Business Open Late Days), retail stores and dining outlets will provide incentives for guests to encourage late hour shopping and dining.
