Binsar, Uttarakhand
The summer capital of the erstwhile Chand kings of Kumaon, Binsar is a picturesque hamlet and one of the most scenic spots in the Kumaon Himalayas. Situated at an altitude of 2,420 m, 95 km from Nainital, it offers views of the snowy Himalayan peaks such as the ranges Chaukhamba, Trishul, Nanda Devi, Shivling and Panchchuli. Zero Point, the highest point in Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary, is where tourists can enjoy a 360-degree view of the Himalayan landscape.
