Alliance Air to commence Delhi-Bhatinda service
In order to boost regional air connectivity, Alliance Air will start services from the national capital to Bhatinda, Punjab, from December 11, 2016. The airline, a wholly-owned subsidiary of national carrier Air India, will offer the service thrice a week – Wednesday, Friday and Sunday – and will operate of the 70 seater ATR-72 aircraft.
“The flight will depart from Delhi at 1215 hours and reach Bhatinda at 1345 hours. The return flight 9I 622 will fly out from Bhatinda at 1415 hours and will reach Delhi at 1545 hours,” Air India said in a release.
The development is expected to be a boon for the city as currently there is no air connectivity offered to passengers from Bhatinda.
Alliance Air, which flies to Tier II and Tier III cities, has a fleet of eight ATR-72 and two ATR-42 aircraft. Currently, it operates flights to 33 destinations, including Allahabad, Bengaluru, Bhavnagar, Dharamshala, Gorakhpur, Shillong and Silchar.
